What this is
AI is not a person. It is numbers, words, and algorithms trained to sound like one. That is where owners and teams get into trouble. Eyes Wide Open is a two-hour working session for BOP owners and their key tech personnel. We start with what AI really is, what it does with what you feed it, and where it fails. Then we cover privacy, account types, cyber insurance, and the AI policy for your handbook. In the last 45 minutes, we build. You leave with a standard setup and one working workflow that gives you back an hour a week. We want you to leave knowing who in your company owns AI from here on. It might be a full-time role or one person with a few hours a week. Either way, it becomes a defined role. You do not have to figure this out alone or all at once.
You will leave able to
- Explain what AI is and is not. It is a machine that predicts words, not a person. It is an “it” and not a “you.”
- Protect the company. Know what you are feeding AI, which account type fits your business, and how to check every output before it goes out. Leave with elements for your handbook AI policy and a cyber insurance checklist for your insurance person.
- Set up one standard and build with it. Create a folder structure, context file, and instructions, and build one working workflow that saves an hour a week.
- Name an AI champion and commit to a 30-day plan. Decide who owns AI in the business and what happens in the first 30 days.
